In this first part of his life and career, Alessandro Sangiorgi has participated to different national and international wildlife film festivals as a visitor (Wildscreen, Stambecco d'oro etc) where he followed some interesting workshops for assistant cameramen and lead cameramen.

As a wildlife photographer, he begins his career with an Italian wildlife magazine "Ethos" where he learns the basics of this work. his interest for African wildlife and photography brings him in the beauty of the savannah, where he participated as a volunteer and a photographer for some environmental projects such as the "Lion Monitoring Project" in Tanzania and the "Reef project" on Zanzibar island.

He published some articles and pictures in a magazine called "Africa", and one of his pictures taken in Zanzibar was used as a cover for this magazine (here belove).
